Quest Community Church

Bob Buchan and a team of forty adults from Christian Community Church in Westerville, Ohio, sensed a calling from God to start a new church in the New Albany, Ohio, area. At that time, Warren Hilderbrand was leading the Christian Life Tabernacle Church that was constructing a new facility in New Albany.

After much prayer and dialogue, and with godly counsel from respected Christian leaders, the decision was made for the two groups to unite as one. As a result of this union, New Albany Christian Church officially began on September 7, 1997. 

The church continued to grow and a new activity center was added in 2001, and the fields behind the church were developed to include a prayer path, baseball diamond and play area for the children. 

We became a part of the Vineyard Association of Churches. We also launched a new worship venue called “E11even,” that gives young people in their teens and twenties a chance to lead the service. 

Most recently, the decision was made for New Albany Christian Church to become one entity with Christian Community Church of Westerville and Rocky Ridge Church in New Albany. The joining of three churches provided the motivation for the selection of a new name, Quest Community Church.
